The second factory of the crystal circle foundry factory Taiwan Power Corporation announced that the second factory of the Chiayi Advanced Packaging Factory was suspended. Due to the large-scale investment in the United States, Taiwan Power Corporation responded to the strong statement today and continued to invest in Taiwan, and the investment plan in Taiwan remained unchanged.

Taiwan announced in March this year that it had invested $100 billion in the US, and the investment in Arizona will increase to $165 billion, with a total of 6 wafer factories, 2 advanced packaging factories and 1 R&D center.

Taiwan Electric Chairman and President Wei Zhejia once publicly stated that the expansion of investment in the United States is because the demand for US customers is very large and will not affect Taiwan Electric's investment in Taiwan. Even so, the outside world is still worried that it will cause a severance on Taiwan Electric's overall investment plan.

As the market was released, TAI not only accelerated the construction of the second and third factories in Asia, but also called for a stop to plan the second factory of the Jiayi Advanced Packaging Factory in Taiwan, and the equipment they were purchased was first adjusted to the Arizona factory. Taiwan Power has made a strong response to this response and continues to invest in Taiwan, and its investment plan in Taiwan remains unchanged.

When the Jiayi County President Weng Zhangliang held a general report at the county meeting in June this year, he said that the first factory of the Chiayi Advanced Packaging Factory of Taiwan Electric will be equipped with the third quarter of this year as scheduled, and the second factory will be completed in 2026, and the two factories are expected to be mass-produced in 2028.
