According to TYC website, Tottenham has suspended transfer negotiations with Alejo Véliz of Argentina.
Belis is 21 years old and was selected for the Argentine U20 team. Baylis comes from Rosario Central’s youth training system. In 2023, he was signed by Tottenham for a transfer fee of 17 million euros after representing Argentina in 2023. After joining Tottenham, Baylis has only played for the team 8 times (1 goal has been scored). Later, he was loaned to Sevilla by Tottenham (the second half of the 23-24 season) and Espanyol (the 24-25 season, during which Baylis played 29 times for Espanyol).
Tottenham originally intended to sell Pelis back to Argentina this summer, but after receiving the offer from Argentina Athletic (Arsenal Athletic's offer cannot satisfy Tottenham), Tottenham changed its mind.
